While we encourage you to join every experience, attendance isn’t required.
If you plan to skip an activity, please let a Camp Counselor know at least 12 hours in advance.Each Bloom Camp also features a camp-long scavenger hunt packed with activities, venues, events, and adventures that help you fully immerse in the local culture. You can choose what to explore and earn points toward rewards along the way!

Of course! If you refer someone who signs up and pays their camp registration fee, you can choose between a cash payout of $250 or a $500 credit toward a future Bloom Camp experience.

Each destination is a little different, but here’s what to expect:
Public transportation & local ride apps (Uber/Lyft equivalents) are available in all destinations.
Select destinations include transportation with accommodations (such as a motorbike or bicycle).
Group transportation is provided for certain activities and experiences.
You can also rent your own through the Resources section of your Camper Portal.
Before camp, you’ll receive:
Full location details for all scheduled activities.
A note confirming whether transportation is included for your destination.
And don’t worry—Google Maps works great everywhere.

No. Meals are not included so you can explore freely and eat what you love.
Before camp, we’ll ask about allergies and dietary restrictions so we can be mindful and accommodating when recommending restaurants or planning shared meals.
Example: If you don’t eat pork, we’ll teach you how to identify it in the local language and what to avoid.

At every Bloom Camp location, we have access to top-rated international hospitals with bilingual staff. If you need a doctor’s appointment or face a medical emergency, including evacuation, your traveling insurance has you covered, ensuring you're well taken care of throughout your camp experience.

The countries and areas where our Bloom Camps are located are very safe. We recommend keeping only a small amount of cash on you, using common sense when interacting with others, and being mindful that you’re a guest in another country.

In most countries we operate, ESL teaching jobs are available. During camp, you'll learn from our camp counselors and communities about how they earn an income while living abroad. Absolutely! We love when campers share their experiences on social media. Your unique perspective can inspire others to take the leap and become expats too. During the camp intake, we'll provide a media release form so we can capture and share content from your journey with EBC. We just ask that you use our designated tags when posting, so we can share your content as well. 🖤

Yes, your phone should work, but we recommend contacting your carrier at least 48 hours before departure to confirm and ask about their international phone, text, and data plans.
Most people utilize WhatsApp and social media to stay in contact via phone or video call with people near or far. Your welcome kit will also include an eSIM card with a data plan and a list of recommended apps to download. (More information can be found in the resources section of your camper portal.)

During camp intake, each camper must sign a code of conduct outlining expectations for behavior with fellow campers, locals, partners, camp counselors, and vendors. If you break this code during camp, we reserve the right to remove you. Please note, if you are removed for violating the code of conduct, you will not receive a camp registration refund, and any payments made to vendors, like accommodations, will be subject to their cancellation policies.

Every Bloom Camp day is intentionally crafted to balance structure, freedom, and discovery.
MORNING: Shared breakfast with fellow campers, followed by guided experiences exploring markets, neighborhoods, language classes, coworking spaces, rentals, and local life.
MIDDAY: Shared lunch and connection time — reflect, reset, and prepare for the evening ahead.
AFTERNOON TO NIGHT: The adventure unfolds through our private scavenger-hunt app, where you’ll complete missions that immerse you in culture, community, and nature—earning points toward gifted experiences and rewards from EBC.

Camp registration ranges from $1,800 – $3,000, depending on destination and optional add-ons.

Payments are processed at registration:
Stripe: Full payment is made at checkout.
Affirm: Monthly payments begin after checkout per Affirm’s financing terms.
Once payment is processed, your registration is confirmed.

We understand that plans can change. Here’s how refunds work:
30+ Days Before Camp: 50% refund of the total amount paid.
Less Than 30 Days Before Camp: Non-refundable, as all logistics and accommodations are finalized.
Credit Transfer: Apply your full paid amount toward a future Bloom Camp within one calendar year.
Force Majeure: In the case of unforeseeable events (natural disasters, government restrictions, etc.), refunds aren’t issued—but full credit will be honored for a future camp.
For Affirm purchases, refunds are processed in coordination with Affirm. Once EBC confirms your refund, Affirm will update your loan balance within 3–10 business days.
